How Homebrook Woods Education collects, uses and protects your personal information.

Homebrook Woods Education Ltd is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
1. What data we collect
We may collect: your name, email address, telephone number and message content when you use our contact form; your child's approximate age (if provided); technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited (only with analytics consent).
2. Lawful basis for processing
Contact form enquiries: Legitimate interests — to respond to your enquiry about our school.
Analytics cookies: Consent — we only activate Google Analytics or Microsoft Clarity after you explicitly accept these cookies.
Safeguarding: Legal obligation — we are required by law to process certain data relating to child protection.
3. Children's data
This website is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children under 13. When a parent or carer provides information about their child through our contact form, we process that data under legitimate interests (to respond to the enquiry) and in line with our safeguarding obligations.
4. How we use your data
To respond to your enquiry; to provide information about our school; to understand how our website is used and improve it (analytics only); to comply with legal obligations including safeguarding duties.
5. Third-party processors
Netlify — website hosting. Data may be processed on servers in the USA under Standard Contractual Clauses.
Google Analytics 4 — website analytics (consent required). Google LLC, USA. Anonymised data only.
Microsoft Clarity — heatmaps and session behaviour (consent required). Microsoft Corp, USA. No PII captured.
6. Data retention
Contact form enquiries: retained for 12 months then deleted. Analytics data: governed by Google/Microsoft retention settings (default 14 months). Cookie consent logs: stored in your browser locally and not sent to our servers.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to: access your data; correct inaccurate data; request erasure; object to processing; data portability; withdraw consent at any time.
